The Parade HISTORY DONATION HIGHLIGHTS DATES & EVENTS AD JOURNAL Grand Marshal Line of March Patrons Directions Home MORRIS COUNTY St. Patrick’s Day Parade NOTE: SATURDAY’S MASS HAS BEEN CANCELLED The Parade Committee and town leaders have been in communication over the last 72 hours. We have decided today to postpone the parade. In light of what is going on in the world and all the other parades that have canceled this is the best course of action. We want to be good partners with the town and the local community. We have already talked to the Mayor about September 19th as a “rain date”, this would be a Half Way to St. Patrick’s Day Parade. He loved the idea. We have already spoken to Mary Waller our Grand Marshal, not surprisingly she took the new with the grace she always shows. We have lots of logistics to cover, informing bands, letting the marchers know, postponing the pre-parade activities and so on. The Irish are always great about overcoming tough times and finding a way to have fun in any situation. I am sure we will still find a way to celebrate Mary and our heritage on Saturday, one way or another. We would like to thank the Mayor’s office, our Committee Heads and all our volunteers who have been working hard for the last 6 months to put on the best St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New Jersey. Thank You for all your support. We will be back to everyone with the rescheduled parade. We expect everyone to come out and enjoy it.
